2. Purposes and legal bases
- B2B enquiries, quotations and documentation requests: steps requested before entering into a contract and, for business contact persons, the company’s legitimate interest in professional correspondence and relationship management.
- Contractual, accounting and legal records: compliance with legal obligations.
- Spam, abuse and information security: legitimate interest in protecting the website, email channel and IT systems.
The mandatory checkboxes acknowledge this notice and the product-documentation disclaimer; they are not marketing consent.
3. Data categories
Name, company, country, email address, optional telephone and company/tax identifier, product, quantity, industry, requested documents, message, source page, language and submission time. For security verification, Cloudflare may temporarily process technical data such as IP address, browser and network signals, and a Turnstile token.
4. Recipients and service providers
Access is limited to authorised staff handling enquiries. GitHub Pages serves the static website; Cloudflare operates the protected form endpoint and Turnstile verification; Google Apps Script and Google Workspace forward accepted enquiries by email. GitHub Pages does not receive the form content. The Worker does not write custom logs containing form content.
5. International transfers
Cloudflare, Google and GitHub may use global infrastructure. Where processing occurs outside the EEA, the safeguards used by the relevant provider—such as an adequacy decision, the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses—apply according to the service and contractual configuration.
6. Retention
- Enquiries not leading to a contract: no longer than 12 months after closure.
- Quotation and negotiation correspondence: no longer than 24 months after closure, unless a contract or legal claim requires longer retention.
- Contractual, accounting and tax records: for the mandatory statutory period.
- Turnstile tokens are single-use and valid for no more than five minutes; Raw Materials Trade does not store them separately. Cloudflare platform and security telemetry is governed by the account and service settings.
7. Bot and abuse prevention
The form uses a honeypot, minimum completion time, a simple calculation, field and size limits, rate limiting and mandatory server-side Cloudflare Turnstile validation. A success message appears only after successful confirmation by Turnstile, the Cloudflare Worker and Google Apps Script.
8. Local storage, cookies and tracking
The website does not load advertising or analytics trackers by default. Browser local storage may remember the selected language (rmtLangSelected) and dismissal of the essential-cookie notice (rmt_cookie). These values are not used for profiling. Turnstile may process technical signals required to distinguish legitimate visitors from automated traffic.
9. Your rights
Subject to the legal basis and statutory limits, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Alexandra’s professional blog opens as an external Blogger service: rawmaterialstrade.blogspot.com. Google/Blogger applies its own privacy and cookie rules there. Product information on this website is for initial B2B orientation only; suitability, classification, handling and compliance must be confirmed using current official supplier documentation.
